Shine Avi COVID-19 Response Plan

Shine Avi COVID-19 Response Plan

On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Education told K-12 districts that if they close due to COVID-19 and continue to offer instruction remotely they must make that accessible to students with disabilities — something that will be difficult to do quickly and for students with a wide range of disabilities.

I think the better solution would be to make up the time later, rather than scrambling to figure out how to make remote instruction work for students with disabilities. I’m very, very concerned because when these school closures become a nationwide issue … this population will just regress.

Another way to compensate would be for a district to proactively consider extending the school year or offering full time summer school. At Shine Avi we understand our obligation for our students and that’s why we are offering everyday group conference calls for next one week to guide and mentor our parents of students for running everyday drills in case we close for next one week.

Also your opinion matters and we want to discuss with you if you want your kid to continue one on one session or not for next week. Plz feel free to call us at 7327543932 to discuss. You will by today evening be getting all the details about conference call In email by our office in case we keep the services closed for next week. Plz stay informed via group posts for the same. Stay safe and sanitized .
