Shine Avi Despite The Challenges Scholarship
Shine Avi Learning Center is very proud to announce the Name of our winners who will share the ‘ DESPITE THE CHALLENGES ‘ scholarship money of $1000 and they are Yuvan Chintha and Akshaj Sai Nagulapalli

This scholarship for $1000 was decided on the basis of child’s performance from the time he joined ‘My Whole Child Program’ to April 1st 2019.
Scholarship check will be presented in AttachAvi Talent Show on April 27th as a mark of respect for AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH.
Yuvan Chintha joined Shine Avi Learning Center one year back when he was 3.5 years and after being diagnosed on autism spectrum .
Yuvan had few vocabulary words and very limited eye contact and attention .
As of today Yuvan is mainstreamed and can read write passages and is in all mainstream activities.
Yuvan has mastered many academic goals knowing his grammar skills like nouns pronouns,tenses, verbs and much more .
His mathematical skills are at first grade level .
Yuvan’s parent are absolutely amazing and the credit goes to them for the support they have provided him .
We are very proud of Yuvan’s and wish him all the very best in the general education .
Akshaj Sai Nagulapalli shares the scholarship with Yuvan . Akashj joined Shine Avi one year back and has done tremendously good .
Akshaj was non verbal and did not even have his basic skills including color recognition and shapes and all .
As of today Akshaj can write all his number and letters and his first letter sounds and can read his sight words do sequencing and all his mathematical skills .
Though Akshaj still remains non verbal but with his parents dedication he will surely reach his highest potential.
We wish Akshaj many more achievements
Criteria of selection was based on following :
Child must be Shine Avi student in ‘My whole child program ‘.
Child DOESN’T need to be only high functioning .
Progress in all areas to be taken into consideration
Parents dedication to child’s achievement will be key part (to be decided by the Shine Avi Program Director)
This is our way of recognizing our children who achieve everyday despite the challenges they have and also to honor the parents for their work and dedication to their child .
