Today I would like to talk about Shine Avi student Yuvan’s amazing mom Ajitha Anandapu.
Ajitha’s most generous gift to her son Yuvan is giving all her time and self to him .
A mother who has MS in computer science and yet decided to choose working with her son over her professional career ,and also am so proud of Yuvan’s dad Naveen who equally supports her as much .
I still remember both parents coming to me for evaluation one year back and I was just going through my first evaluation report that said this about Yuvan….

Very poor eye contact
Language skills poor
Poor attention to detail
Cognitive concept poor
Social skills poor
Attention to details poor
Lot of echolalia *_~
Yuvan had few word with no writing skills at all and very poor attention .
Now talking about how Ajitha works with Yuvan is something I wish all of can learn from .
She has never been even one minute late for sessions.
Works everyday atleast 2.5 hours with Yuvan .
Is always constantly trying to get connected with other parents for finding best resource for her son .
Last but but the least also Ajitha works with Shine Avi and beautifully manages all the admin work and also works as support staff .
As of today Yuvan is mainstreamed and is way ahead of his age mainstream kids .
Yuvan can write a small story and also comprehend and reason very well .
Yuvan has mastered all his grammar including tenses,verbs and nouns,pronouns and singular & plural etc.
Yuvan can do two number addition in math.
Yuvan is not a very intelligent kid on the autism spectrum as we see many times but Ajitha’s hard work and dedication has made Yuvan break all barriers and achieve things which even neuro typical children can’t .
It takes a toll financially when only one person can work in ten family and providing services can be difficult, but
In spite of this Yuvan goes for many activities like karate,swimming ,piano etc.
The best thing I like about Ajitha is when she says
“I fully intend to go back to work after I put my son on track,”
I am sure that day will come soon for her .
We wish all the very best to Yuvan and salute his parents for making their child reach his full potential
